What makes Invisalign different
The Invisalign system revolves around the routine wear of custom-fitted aligner trays. These appliances are fabricated from clear BPA-free plastic that is durable enough to keep gentle pressure where it is needed. Treatment is precisely planned through the processing of images and impressions in a state-of-the-art laboratory. From the initial data we gather, specialized software creates a 3-dimensional model of your teeth as they are. Further, this same software creates multiple steps through which teeth are virtually moved to their appropriate positions. Before you are fitted with aligners, you will be able to view an animation of your smile transformation in our office.
When this method is approved, a series of aligners will be made just for you. Each set of aligners, one for the upper arch and one for the lower, should be worn for two weeks, at which time the next set will be inserted. Every two weeks when aligners are switched, the new set will feel tight. For the first few days, insertion and removal of aligners may be slightly challenging. As teeth progress in the intended movement, this will become easier.
